Grace Nitta Wins 2013 Club Championship
Grace Nitta won the 18ers 2013 Club Championship with consistently excellent play for the three rounds of medal play, totaling 255. This is the most demanding format of the year in Rossmoor’s and other ladies’
golf clubs. Grace’s name will be engraved on the 18ers’ perpetual trophy honoring Rossmoor Champions over the years. Grace is a “two-peater,” having also won in 2012.
Twenty-one players competed this year in the Championship
Tournament. They played 54 holes of golf in stroke play over two weeks in the same format used by the golf professionals on TV and by the same rules, a demanding challenge.
Following the final round, the group gathered at Creekside to celebrate Grace’s and the other ladies’ accomplishments.
Betty Cuniberti treated everyone to lunch with delicious sandwiches, wine and beer in celebration of her hole in one on August 18.
