18ers Plan Picnic on the Green

The 18ers’ second guest day of the season is scheduled for Thursday, July 26 on the Dollar Ranch Golf Course. Sign-up envelopes are available in the pro shop and are due in by Friday, July 19. Chairs Janice Davis and Jean Carroll are working hard to make the Picnic on the Green fun for everyone.
Golfers can sign up with a partner, a foursome, or solo. The Tournament Fee is $22 which includes a full hot breakfast, lunch and prizes. Green fees and cart,if needed,are additional.
The tournament format will be a modified shamble. All golfers in the four-person team will tee off. The team then selects one drive and all players will play their own ball in from that point. Shambles are a fun, forgiving format.
Lunch and awards will follow golf at Creekside Room 3. If you have any questions, contact Janice Davis (925 945-1661). If you need help finding a guest for the event, Janice Davis may be able to pair you with a guest from a ladies’ golf league outside Rossmoor.

“Live, Love, Golf”
The 18ers are planning a big day of golf and fun to benefit Bruns House Hospice and the Contra Costa Food Bank.
The event is open to to all Rossmoor golfers and their friends. Golfers will play an 18 hole tournament on the Dollar Ranch Golf Course in Scotch Ball Twosomes (alternating shots). Appetizers, a Prime Rib Dinner, beer and wine, and a raffle will be in the Fireside Room after golf. The $75 entry fee includes lunch, golf, dinner, awards, and a contribution to Bruns House Hospice. Nongolfers are welcome to come to the dinner for $50.
Golfers can sign up in the pro shop now with a partner, a foursome or as a single.
