Roberta Weiner Wins 18ers Charm Day
Scoring a nice 68 net last Thursday, Roberta Weiner won the Charm Girl tournament. She will play in the Charm Girl play off of all the seasonal winners. Other winners on June 27 were: 1st Flight – Low Net, Janet Choi, 70; 2nd Grace Nitta, 71; 3rd Haija Kim, 75. 2nd Flight – Low Net, Jean Carroll, 69; 2nd Olivia Hsueh, 72; 3rd Claudia Terry, 72; 3rd Flight – Low Net, Teddi Swanson,73; 2nd Pil Choo, 74; 3rd AiSoon Hong, 74; 4th Flight – Low Net, Jackie Bateman, 71; 2nd Donna Rhodes, 71; 3rd Joan Baggett, 71. (Ties are broken by comparing back nine scores.)
Birdies were made on June 27 by Aster Yamagata, #s 10 and 13, Diane Matony #16, Jackie Bateman, #16, and Margo Dutton, #17. Pil Choo had the only chip in of the day on #13.
18ers/Guests To Picnic on the Green
The 18ers are planning a guest day themed Picnic on the Green. At the peak of summer, July 25, it’s bound to be a fun day.
The four person teams will play two best balls net of foursome in a Shamble. All four will tee off and the team picks the best drive. Everyone plays their own ball in from there. There will also be closest to the pin and other fun things.
Members and guests will enjoy a full breakfast, lunch, and awards at Creekside. Get a foursome together and watch for sign-up envelopes in the pro shop to be available soon. More information will be in Rossmoor News as the date nears.
Fore Women, a golf league not affiliated with any single golf course have expressed interest in playing at Rossmoor. Janice Davis has the names of Fore Women members who are available to play as guests on July 25.
