18ers Play Stroke Play, Eclectic Day, Charm Day
On Thursday, April 21st a field of thirty-nine ladies enjoyed a warm spring day on the links. The format was threefold: individual stroke play, an eclectic day, and the monthly charm day. Winners of the stroke play competition were as follows:
First Flight: Low Gross–Grace Nitta, 79; 1st Low Net: Olivia Hsueh, 66; 2nd Low Net: Helen Choi, 67.
Second Flight: Low Gross–Juna Lee, 99; 1st Low Net: Denise Pratt, 68; 2nd Low Net: Garnet Shelly, 69.
Third Flight: Low Gross–Sheri Lenz, 102; 1st Low Net: Nikki Balukjian, 65; 2nd Low Net: Dorothy Mizono, 69.
Grace Nitta had birdies on holes 2 and 4, and Olivia Hsueh had a birdie on hole 13.
Three ladies had chip-ins: Nikki Balukjian, hole 15; Olivia Hsueh, hole 5; and Denise Pratt, hole 11.
Play on this day was also included in the annual eclectic in which players keep track of their best score on each hole for the entire season. Karin Romak won the April Charm Day with an impressive net 60. She will compete with other monthly winners in an end-of-season tournament to determine the overall 2016 Charm winner.
