The Rossmoor Women’s 18ers fielded 92 players in their first guest day of the season on Thursday, April 27. Forty 18ers and 52 guests took to the fairways after breakfast at Creekside Grill and some warm-up time on the driving range. The Rossmoor Men’s Golf Club provided several of their members to serve as “ambassadors” on the scene and transport the ladies’ golf clubs from their cars to their golf carts.

Much hard work and planning went into the event which was run by a team headed up by Robin Moreau and Bari Mantel, with the assistance of Garnet Shelly, Nancy Ringelstein, Jackie Bateman and Carole Geoghegan. A Mexican-style lunch was served by Creekside in the Event Center and golf balls were given as prizes to the first, second and third place winners, while the closest-to-the-hole winners received credit in the pro shop for merchandise.
