On Thursday, Jun 15, the RMGC NCGA 12 Man Team opened its 2017 season with a team picture followed by a really big win over visiting Crow Canyon Country Club. The RMGC team of listed in two somes as they compete for 6 points in each of 6 matches. Each match is for 2 points for the two singles competition and 2 points for the team best ball competition with all competition being played at full course handicap. The RMGC team of #1 Atkins and Mitchell; #2 Lee and Meng; #3 Kiefer and Moran; #4 Moore and Endicott; #5 Pingatore and McDonnell and #6 Scheffer and Wheeler compiled a total of 31 of the 36 available points for a huge 31-5 win. Great golf guys – way to start the season with a BANG!!
Next week the team will travel to Contra Costa Country Club with hope of keeping up its winning ways. However, let it be noted that past history of this event shows a definitive advantage to the home teams.
