A full field of the 18ers and their guests enjoyed a Hawaiian-themed golf event, “Hawaii Calls.” Many wore aloha shirts bringing a colorful Hawaiian flare to the course.
The day began with registration and a full breakfast at Creekside. The ladies then dispersed to the Dollar Ranch course for the 8:30 shotgun.
Guest Day Chair, Pil Choo, chose a two best balls of foursome format for the tournament. They competed in three flights.
After golf the group enjoyed lunch at the Event Center. They were especially happy to relax in the air conditioning, having played in the warm Hawaiian-like weather.
Winners were then announced:
First Flight winners: First place with a total of 126: Anne Su, Joyce McCann, Laura Kim, and Olivia Hsueh. Second place with a total of 128: Chong Hui Harney, Chong Yi, Mae Marcotte, and Sue Yoon. Third place with a total of 131: Joan Munn, Joni Upshaw, Peggy Yamada, Teddi Swanson.
Second Flight Winners: First place with a total of 122: Insu Golub, Soon Gi Jang, Soonee Kim and Victoria Kelly. Second place with a total of 126: Angie Kim, Cletia Bowron, Terry Hwang, and Theresa Kim. Third place with a total of 126: Anna Kim, Beverly Friend, Helen Choi, and Kay Doyle.
Third Flight winners: First place with a total of 122: Barbara May, Donna Rhodes, Marian King, and Valerie Helenson. Second place with a total of 127 Aisoon Hong, Chun Kim, Jane Lee, and Wang Ja Wong. Third place with a total of 132: Dong Dong-Dong, Jodi Rice, Louis Chien, and Sharon Trifeletti.
Closest to the pin winners Hole #2: 18er Karin Romak 18’ 5” and guest Sarah Young Tom 26’. Closest to the pin winners Hole #16: 18er Pat Taylor 7’ 9” and guest Susanne McQuade 17’ 11”.
