The Rossmoor Women’s 18ers had a successful season in the East Bay Team Play league playing matches against teams from 13 other East Bay private golf clubs. The Rossmoor team began the season in first place after the first match but that lofty position in the standings was short-lived. As the season progressed, their position ranged between seventh and twelfth. After all was said and done, the 18ers ended up in eighth place.

Thirty-seven women originally signed up to play last February. Of those, twenty-seven participated throughout the season. East Bay Team Play Captains Robin Moreau and Linda Ingalls tried their best to give everyone who signed up a chance to play but many were unavailable on specific match dates.

Sign-ups for next year’s season will take place at the “Launch the Season” event in February. All 18ers are encouraged to participate and enjoy playing some of the finest golf courses in the East Bay for very reasonable prices which include breakfast, lunch, green fees and cart rental. Team play is a great way to meet new friends and broaden your golfing horizons.

Any 18ers interested in playing team play for either the East Bay league or the Diablo Valley league will be notified when it comes time to select a new uniform. Moreau and Ingalls wish to extend their thanks to everyone who came out to play this past season and hope everyone enjoyed the challenge of different courses and the sportsmanship and camaraderie of team play.
