Lady 18ers played Blue and White and Individual Stroke Play for Low Net and Charm on August 6 and August 13.

The annual Blue and White competition took place on August 6 with the ladies on the Blue team having a lot to brag about as they defeated the White team 137.5 to 96.5. After completing the golf matches the White team treated the Blue team to a delicious hot dog or chicken lunch. Many thanks go to Karin Romak for organizing a wonderful fun lunch celebration.

August 13 found 58 ladies competing in Individual Stroke Play for Low Net and Charm Day winner. The Charm Day winner was Linda Ingalls with a 66 net score. The results from the 4 flights are as follows: 1st flight, Loss Gross, Grace Nitta with 81; Low Net, Agnes Shin with 67; and 2nd Low Net, Olivia Hsueh with 69. 2nd flight, Low Gross, Jane Lee with 94; Low Net, Anna Kim with 71; and 2nd Low Net, Inez Schrivner with 73. Third Flight, Low Gross, Diane Matoney (our hero) with 100; Low Net, Marlene Seffren with 69; and 2nd Low Net, Pil Choo with 71. Fourth flight, Low Gross is Madeline Deiro with 107; Low Net, Louise Chien with 72; and 2nd Low Net, Melinda Hall with 74.

August 13 also found the ladies playing very well with 4 birdies and 9 chip-ins. Birdies were had by Agnes Shin on #13, Aileen Choi on #17, Pat Taylor on #16 and Grace Nitta on #13. Chip-ins were had by Agnes Shin on #13, Del Poirier on #14 and #17, Pat Deisem on #7, Linda Ingalls on #5, Grace Nitta on #13, Setsuko Yuasa on #11, Jean Carroll on #5, and Sil Jung on #4.
